I'm so grateful for the community of friends and game enthusiasts I have a around me! I don't think I would be able to do the work, put together, and especially get the word out about Carthage without them!
Carthage is a great game, but in the world of board games you need exposure to show people how great it is. This is where hopefully the bloodthirsties can help. By sharing and letting others know about it, Carthage will rise! - So grateful.. So excited I'm very excited to share our miniature designs with you! (well.. all but one) They turned out so well and they represent the feel and play of Carthage so well! Enjoy
- Luke As a designer, you have both a sense of excitement and of dread as the date of your Kickstarter launch comes closer. All my personal and professional insecurities swirl in a concoction of feelings... Will we fund? What will people think of our game? What changes will we need to make right away? As we prepare.. and prepare.. and .. prepare some more, we can only hope that CARTHAGE will be the best it can be and everyone can join with the bloodthirsties to seek glory in the theater!
The gladiators have been unleashed!
Who will be the victor? The agile, swift, and precise Retairius? The popular, risky, and brash Thracian? The raw, powerful, and bullish Gaul? The brave, studious, and wise Murmillo? or the wild, angry, and bloodthirsty Dimachaeri? So excited to finally share the great looking miniatures we have revealed for Carthage! Check them out on our Facebook Page! - Luke I'm so excited to be able to share and reveal our Miniature design soon to you all! This game will feature some really great Minis with painted colored bases! Stay Tuned for some reveals coming really soon.
I'm excited to share our newest development on Carthage with you! Modular Rulesets.
Modular Rulesets The modular Ruleset allows players to add to the complexity, time, and strategic depth of Carthage. These additional Rules and Active Conditions are placed under the edge of the game board to allow all players to see and utilize. It is recommended to not play with more than 6 total Modular Rulesets each match. Of course, Deeper complexity always creates longer play time. This weekend was monumental for the Carthage Theater!!
Blood and Glory cometh…. We got two full prototypes printed (minus miniatures). Cards, Player Decks, Arena Tokens, and Game and Player Boards! This game looks even better than we could've hoped for.. The new art direction brings it to a new level, with the linen finished cards giving it such a visceral feeling. To top it off we spent the whole weekend at a local board game con playing, playing, and more playing with lots of more Bloodthirsties! We got such a great response from everyone who played it, with handfuls of people coming back to play a second time. This game is easy to learn, vicious to play, and such a blast whether you take the win or are finished in glorious battle! We even playtested new game modes, including my personal favourite, a 2 vs 2 chained match, where teams of players cannot move more than 1 space away from each other! This game is the real deal and I’m so excited to share more and more of it with you! Keep Thirsty. Luke Seinen Be Thirsty and.. Like us on Facebook Follow us on Instagram Rate us on BoardGameGeek I'm working on getting our prototype ready for GOBfest here in Edmonton, a big weekend board game convention. It's a lot more work than I thought to be properly prepared and ready for something like this. .. But I'm excited! It will be one of the first times we are really showing off our full (minus mini's) prototype! So far we have not put a lot of effort into marketing and sharing about Carthage, but after this weekend, things may change... Here's hoping to a good weekend. ;)
So far we've seen the popular Thracian, and now the agile Retairius ... Which one would you like to see us reveal next?
